Low polymer

Film forming material is the main component of coating, which is the fluid component of coating. UV coating film is oligomer, its performance basically determines the curing coating before the construction performance and light curing rate, curing film performance and other special properties.

UV coating is mainly free radical light curing system, so the oligomer used for all kinds of acrylic resin. Cationic UV coating oligomers are epoxy resin and vinyl ether compounds.

Reactive diluent

Rective diluent is another important component of UV coating, which can reduce viscosity and adjust the performance of curing film. Acrylate functional monomers are widely used in UV coatings because of their high reactivity and low volatility. UV coating active thinner is commonly used acrylate class. In practical formulations, single, double and multifunctional acrylates are often used in combination to make their properties complementary and achieve a good overall effect.

Photoinitiator

Photoinitiator is a special catalyst in UV coating. It is an important component of UV coating, determines the UV curing rate of coating.

For colorless varnish UV coatings, photoinitiator often used 1173, 184, 651 and BP/ tertiary amine. 184 is high activity, low odor, yellowing resistance, yellowing resistance UV coating is the preferred photoinitiator, in order to improve the curing rate, often used with TPO. For colored UV coatings, it is necessary to use light initiator ITX, 907, 369, TPO, 819, etc. Sometimes in order to reduce oxygen resistance poly, improve the rate of light curing, often add a small amount of active amine in UV coating.

Auxiliaries

Auxiliaries are auxiliary components of UV coatings. The role of auxiliaries is to improve the coating's processing performance, storage performance and construction performance, improve the film performance and give some special functions. Commonly used UV coating additives have defoaming agent, leveling agent, wetting dispersant, adhesion promoter, extinction agent, polymerization inhibitor, etc. They play a different role in UV coating.
